    Hello everyone.
As many of you here already know, I have my own website on the civil war.
I've been a member here since 2007 and has been with both joy and sadness, but mostly joy.
The sad thing about this place is that many times when I have a question or posted an article, there are alwaysthose who turn tags out to me.
Many have told me that I have nothing to do with the civil war it would be better if I was interested in my own history (Swedish history).
But the fact is that American history is more intresting than the Swedish.
Instead of whining to me so why not help me, provide me with the correct information if it is so much that is wrong with my site.
Do you know that there are a lot of the information found on my site are those of members that I have.
Enough of that I want to thank you for a good forum with many interesting posts and comments.

Annie, I'm not sure I catch the full meaning of your post, but let me say that you're always welcome here and if someone is rude to you, please click on the 'report' prompt at the bottom of the post. The problem will be addressed. Could you please explain the title of your thread? I'm not sure I understand. Thanks.

Swedish history is also very interesting you just have to go a lot wurther back. Did you know that Sweden was the last European country to accept the christain religion? There's a fairly good sized city in Sweden (Osby) that my family is named after although they were living in Norway.

Yes I know all that we have a lot of history in Sweden, but it does not interest me as much like yours does.

I had a similar problem when I went to some sites for information about Horatio Nelson, one of my favorites. There were some British posters who seemed offended that I was interested in their hero and not one of my own. There's always a funny bunny or two in every crowd! Sometimes they can be hurtful, too. Still, most of the people on those boards were happy to answer my questions and more than once put the dingbats in their place. They're pretty good here about taking care of problems - do hope you decide to stay!

Well, though it´s pretty near to Germany I admit I know not very much about swedish history in general. But for the part "interesting" I always add for me the 30 years war and the era of Oxenstierna. Also I agree on the fact that american history is at least often more interesting.

Gustav II Adolph with his dominating infantry in 30 years war is indeed very interesting. Peter Englund covers the subject in Swedish perspective very nicely in his book Years of War. Invincible is also a good book by him.

Jag kan tala lite svenska, litet bättre än översättaren. Men jag har inte användat svenska för många år, därför det är litet rost, engelska är mycket lättare för mig!
