Wanted: Pvt. John Marshall Quinn

    Thanks for the two links. I have already come across both of those unfortunately. Mainly concerned about what info there is about the 3d US Volunteers (from Tenn). I have found a JMQ buried in a Hill-Johnson Cemetery whos tombstone says 3US Volunteers but date, location and names disqualify him from being my ancestor.

    Cherokee county along with most the the counties in mountainous areas of the Carolina's and Tennessee had divided loyalties...so there could be an outside chance JMQ could be an ancestor..
